Don Farrell

Chief Cultivating Officer | Fresh Revenues

Across several decades, Don Farrell has demonstrated his expertise in business leadership, culture speaking, and sales, culminating in his roles as founder and chief executive officer of Fresh Revenues—a  prominent business solutions provider—since 2007. Through this company, he and his team consult and train businesses and agencies in sales, services, leadership and culture; in this capacity, he conducts client calls, provides strategic consulting to organizations seeking to enhance their operational effectiveness and workforce engagement, develops training programs with ongoing reinforcement. Mr. Farrell has also spoken to more than 1,000 audiences.

Mr. Farrell first became involved in his profession when he began working full-time while pursuing his bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Wisconsin, which he ultimately earned in 1978. He advanced through various executive sales and leadership roles for major hospitality brands, management companies, and entrepreneurial operators between 1974 and 1986. Utilizing his connections, he subsequently founded Signature Worldwide—a future global training and coaching organization—from a spare bedroom in his house. For the first four years, he guaranteed client success in his consulting practice or he was not paid.

The company evolved in response to client demands, particularly from Marriott Hotels, to implement ongoing reinforcement in training programs, which became a key differentiator. This innovation of combining training with accountability, measurement, incentives, and coaching set his company apart and led to explosive growth. In addition, he took pride in empowering hourly workers, particularly hotel housekeepers. He prepared sales staff at a major Holiday Inn to understand the struggles of housekeeping staff, 80 percent of whom are single mothers earning between $10 and $18 an hour; he made sales leaders communicate to the staff about seasonal business downturns, helping them understand the financial realities they faced. The experience helped crystalize his mission: to help housekeepers and other hourly employees understand they provide elite service that enhances the customer experience, not just clean rooms.

By 2007, after building Signature Worldwide to 383 associates, licenses in 44 countries, and more than 10,000 clients primarily in hospitality, he sold the company and founded Fresh Revenues, where he has served as chief cultivating officer. In addition to this endeavor, he has been active as an adviser at AdvisoryCloud since 2021. Looking toward the future, he intends to expand his training methodology into new market segments beyond hospitality. He has had his eye on several industries for some time and wants to bring the sales, service, leadership, and culture training he developed and refined in the hospitality world to these new sectors. His goal is to demonstrate that his tactical, ROI-driven approach to training with ongoing reinforcement can deliver transformational results across diverse business environments.

Outside his primary endeavors, Mr. Farrell’s community involvement, which include being on the Board of Advisers for The Salvation Army since 2023, reflects his lifelong passion for empowering the workforce and fostering self-sufficiency. He developed the FarEver app, designed to help homeless and at-risk individuals, with a particular focus on preventing homelessness by assisting those on the brink, such as single mothers facing housing instability, before they reach the streets. He is also working with numerous communities to prove the concept and scale this solution to cities nationwide. Additionally, he co-developed the Tagged Trip app with two partners for more than 13 years, a platform that connects travelers with shared interests to facilitate meaningful social and travel-related networking.

On a personal note, Mr. Farrell comes from a background that instilled in him a deep commitment to service and helping others. He is a proud father of two accomplished adult children: his daughter, Ashley, an attorney with two athletic sons, and his son, Eric, who is pursuing medical school; his children and their families have given him five grandchildren. He is engaged to Susan, a pharmaceutical professional specializing in rare disease drugs.
